Today were speeches for school officers at the elementary school I work at. I haven’t felt this inspired in a while with promises of more ice cream, school dances, and cleaner hallways:) Haha, no really. To hear these kids speak passionately about things that are important to them was very moving. One student running for V-P said something that brought me to tears. He had students raise their hands if they thought they were the BEST students. Then he had teachers raise their hands if they thought they were the best teachers they could be. Then he said, “you may not be THE best, but I’m going to help you be YOUR best.” OMG. Watch out Chelsea Clinton–your competition is coming!
